“tembezi” is a richly textured, intricate afro house track with emotive, melancholic piano improvisations backed by a solid jumping beat to get your feet itchy. Prins Thomas slows down the tempo for a rootsier jam with additional live guitar and bass improvisations. Detroit master and “three chairs” member Marcellus Pittman takes us on a bumpier night ride built around a funky synth melody and pushed along by a short looped and dubbed piano part that delicately changes in placement and tempo - please don’t stop, keep driving on forever!
