In 1992, two fresh faced young upstarts on the Chicago scene released a deep house anthem on Clubhouse under the alias ERB. Their names were Ron Trent and Braxton Holmes and they both went on to become household names (in my house anyway) with this record springboarding them onwards and upwards. This track pretty much worked to set the blueprint for the second wave of Chicago / Detroit house producers, combining the soulful jazz modes and melodies of both cities' past with a bumping bassline and shuffling percussion that put the sound right in the present day. Spiritual vocals duet with ghetto roughness and the track is topped by soaring flute ornamentation. This is a stone cold lost classic that should be in every house head's collection. And with originals going for ￡40+ this official rush hour repress is the chance you've been waiting for.
