Originally released about a year ago, Flight Facilities' Clair De Lune has grown into something of an unclassic, sitting just below the radar of mainstream culture but holding the hearts of the real music fans. Indeed, the innocence of Christine Hoberg's vocal, the music box melodies and swelling strings, slowly but quietly, crept their way into a lot of peoples lives. So it was high time for another pressing, this time adding an instrumental to that beautiful original, and a couple of choice remixes too. Any track inspired by Claude Debussy could only demand tasteful remixes and Future Classic have gone to two experts with that in mind. First up, Norwegian disco god, Prins Thomas turns out an effortlessly beautiful dancefloor version, upping the tempo ever so slightly, adding a little acid infusion to the bassline and bringing in some of his trademark percussive touches. His sophisticated take transforms the original into a proper dancefloor journey that'll have eyes closed, hands raised and love breaking out all over the show. Hot Toddy and Ron Basejam come together for one of their slow burning Crazy P remixes. The dials are set to the lower limits of mid tempo, allowing plenty of room for the duo to create a deep disco groove that's full of atmosphere and emotion (check the subtle nods to "Running Up That Hill"). On top of this speaker tensing backing they bring the most ethereal qualities out of Christine Hoberg's vocal to create a proper future disco gem. It's an ear worm that becomes more addictive with each listen.
