Chateau Flight's ongoing Classics series offers a neat reminder of not only their immense talents for creating emotion-rich electronic music, but also just how long they've been operating. Most will have missed lead cut "Pergola" - a delightful foray into wide-eyed Detroit futurism which makes great use of bubbling synth bass and darting electronic melodies - on its initial release in 2001, while the dubbier "The Rise & Fall of Babylon" is arguably even more obscure, having appeared on the overlooked (but excellent) Trip Do West EP on Rhythmix back in 2003. As with much of the Parisian duo's work since the turn of the millennium, both tracks are essential.
