Always a trusted source for thoroughly well-read soul and funk infected house music from over Japan way, Soundofspeed are at it again with local champ Kuniyuki linking up with the ever unbeatable DJ Nature for a wealth of sublime, organic tones that transcend typical notions of deep house. DJ Nature's versions of "Groove Chase" and "Reveal Yourself" carry some of that rugged weight that is an inherent characteristic of his music, but on top the guitar lines are fluid and dynamic, the piano balletic and the percussion loose and easy. Meanwhile in Kuniyuki's hands "Groove Chase" comes on more jazzy and hand-played, eschewing any need for extra propulsion in favour of easy-flowing hand-played energy.
