Outplay make their second appearance on vinyl thanks to this sweet three tracker from their very own Daniel Leseman. The Dutch producer comes on stronger than an Amsterdam space cake with his trademark fusion of dusty textures, woozy funk and head nodding beats. Fans of the filtered jazzy deepness and simmering grit of Max Graef, Box Aus Holz, Detroit Swindle et al, should prepare to open their heart to a new love, because Leseman is right on time with the rest of that crew. "Drums" struts into the club to the strains of a bumping beat, wriggling bassline, filtered pads and whistling strings, laying waste to the peak time pretenders and causing a frenzy on the floor. "On the Fritz" follows perfectly, following the same recipe but with a suble, deep twist. A gorgeous jazzy break offers a moment of respite from the beats, setting the scene for a killer drop. "Time To Go" closes the set out in a more relaxed frame of mind, as Leseman fixes Graef-esque keys to a clicking, swinging Andres style beat, ensuring an irresistible groove. This 12" is certain to put Leseman and Outply at the top of the 'ones-to-watch' list.
