Back again following releases on Aficionado (including remix treatment from Andras Fox), Music For Dreams and his own Mellophonia imprint which we supported back in June, Russia’s mysterious beach groove connoisseur returns this month with a 5-track release of lilting melodies, coastal flavours and sunkissed sounds to glide along to. Awash with tropic tones and island atmosphere, A Vision Of Panorama ushers us aboard his sonic yacht for another balmy journey across the Balearic ocean. This time round the paradisiacal soundscape infuses elements from other continents, with North African rhythms and South American instrumentation becoming the wind in this boat’s sails. Opening with the animalistic chatter of the Brazilian cuica and a chirping synth melody, today we bring you our favourite track off the new EP. Title-track ‘Two Birds’ transports you to tropical climes where the breeze plays among the palm trees and the clear waters kiss the white sand. Dexterously combining bossa rhythms with the tumbling toms of Afro disco, the Russian producer sets the scene for the cascading piano solo, shimmering synth riffs and windswept guitar to take us away.
