Listen

The second highest Welsh peak above 3000ft is Crib Y Ddysgl at 3495ft (1065m). Gelert is sure to have roamed these mountainous regions with his master Prince Llewellyn in his hunting prime… More mysterious sounds connecting the nippiest of mountain peaks from the same team that brought you Crow Castle Cuts and Blind Jack's Journey. Turner's "Stranger" gets two outings on the A-side. The OG is a glacial electro-pop masterpiece, Turner's emotive vox perfectly paired with a rich sonic tapestry of undulating strings and velvety pads; sparse percussion giving just enough forward momentum for this would-be horizontal of outings. 'Bobs Nippy Reprise' sees a stripped back version of the track designed for even more laid back mind exploration. Crisp's "Venus Bongo" completes the A-side: a radiant house jam with interstellar yearnings and melancholic approach, it's undeniably from Luv*Jam's Welsh camp and easy to see why people like Move D are fast becoming fans boys of this troupe. Opening the B-side is Laffer and "These Flying Things", an electronically charged Balearic-house jam that's gonna sound great across the Funktion1's. Chugging along with elastic band bass arps and rich waves of intensity this is pure gold for your outdoor festival stage. Finally, a good section of the wax is saved for Acquaintance's "Parallelogram", a summery if twisted technoid number with clever bleep and bass interplay and breathtaking arrangement. Playfully jotting a technicoloured course through its long and dynamic journey and never losing touch with the floor. More essential dance music from the mysterious Welsh mountains - you need this! Included is an amazing printed insert full of little-known but highly interesting info about Welsh mountains, peak racing competions and more! 3000.2 is a Yolky coloured vinyl using mustard tones into white. Part of a collectable 15 pack to mark each peak above the 3000ft mark.
