Take a glance over the eight year-long discography of France's Eklo and you'll soon get the picture. From dOP to Seuil, Le Loup or even Christi Cons; it's all about minimal for these guys. Good on 'em! This time they tap Perth, Western Australia's Justin Zerbst for an EP. Back in the studio after a 16 year hiatus; nice one mate! Starting out with the boompty tech house of "Subtraction" which is reminiscent of Derrick Carter's stuff as Tone Theory in the last nineties; not a bad thing at all! Next "Timor Echo" is tough deep house with smooth Rhodes piano, meticulous drum patterns and random bleeps and whirs, quite decent. On the flip is where it really gets interesting though, with the sombre and mysterious late nineties/early noughties indebted minimal house of "You Cant See Around The Corners". Whether its one from the archives or new, we'll never know, but it's a real highlight on here.
