Mukatsuku Records dig deep once more with a sweet little 45 featuring two officially licensed stormers dripping with rarity. "Reaching For Our Star" from Sharon Revoal is a big soul monster that you may well have heard dropped in sets from Gilles Peterson, Sam Floating Points and Four Tet. Originally surfacing on the Forte Records label circa 1980, the track is fairly bossed by the low slung disco bassline and Sharon's sultry vocal delivery and will nice up any disco or funk dance. Mukatsuku make this 7" all the more delicious with the B-side presence of The Swan Silvertones jammer "If You Believe Your God Is Dead (Try Mine)" which is surely one of the funkiest gospel 45's to come out of the early 70's!! As played by Ge Ology on NTS,Sadar Bahar,Red Greg,Ashley Beedle,Marc Hype,Nicola Conte,Juergen Jazzanova,Floating Points and many more
