The Visitors were a short lived outfit set up by producer Ben Okonkwo in the early '70s on the BEN label offshoot Clover Sounds and is said to have broke some of the biggest bands outside of Lagos. The Visitors were active between 1975 and 1978 and according to the label that is responsible for this re-issue, the band "were creating the most righteous sounds in the East.. deep afro-funk with generous dollops of rock psych fuzz synth madness." That is a pretty apt description for the sounds featured on their second LP entitled My Good Friends: a much prized Nigerian funk gem that is still highly sought after on the internet to this day but now made available to all, courtesy of Austrian label Presch Media GmbH.
