Jackie Mittoo was an organ and piano talent who not only founded seminal Jamaican reggae group The Skatellites but also turned out a fantastic body of work under his own name. He was a member of other groups such as The Soul Brothers, Soul Vendors and The Sound Dimension, all of which were defined at least in part by his magic work on the keys. This album brings together some of the legend's finest tunes from across the ages, all of which were recorded with legendary producer Bunny Lee, mostly in the 1970s.
